You may be asking, "Where are we going with all this?"
And frankly, that is a great question!
Our big driving goal at GFW is: to build and grow a community of passionate like-minded fishermen and creating Third Spaces for connection.
We have big dreams over here, and in many ways, shiny object syndrome. So, we forced ourselves to put out the basics in our initial membership.
But this doesn’t satisfy our big driving goal of multiple Third Spaces. Thus, we have laid out the following road map to hope you will come along for the ride!

Initial Membership Site Kick-Off
Letâs get the party started! Weâve dreamt of sharing all we have discovered from our GFW trips with others for a long time. And now weâre here! Our goal of building a community of passionate fly fisherman and creating Third Spaces on the water will drive us into the future.

Find people, information and ideas from all over the world to fish with! Weâve got a long list of places we want to fish, and with the growth of the GFW community, we will be able to connect with others on the water in the places we want to explore.
Member Inspired Itineraries
GFW has provided close to 20 trip itineraries of the waters we fished, the places we stayed, and the watering holes where we ate and drank. The only thing better than the trip itineraries weâve already given you is access to the multitude of trips our members have taken. Imagine a library of fishing trip itineraries already mapped out for you. We can!
Live/Digital Fly Tying Classes
We have discovered the power of connectivity that comes from time behind the vice with othersâŠjust shootinâ the shit. None of us are professional fly tiers, but some of our friends in the community are! Or at least they are a LOT better than us. The best part of these events are the laughs.
DIY Trips - Course & Book
With 30 years of DIY fishing experience, we want to build a simple course to help you plan your fishing adventures. We break down everything you need to know in order to plan an epic weekend. You can find this in the Education LIbrary upon completion.
In-Person Meetups
We believe in the weight and positive punch that comes from connection with others. While digital classes and sessions give us reach, in-person connection provides so much more! We want to get into communities and help fisherman connect in Third Spaces that promote more fishing!

Yup, we been doing our GFW yearly trip for 30 years and we want to do more! So, we will plan âem and pass on invites to our members. We will help you make time in your life for fishingâŠtogether!
Live/Digital Fly Fishing Classes
One of us spent 25 years teaching English to middle schoolers. Heâd much rather teach the skills of what he truly lovesâŠfly fishing! We want to share our collective knowledge from years of fishing together with anyone who wants to get betterâŠtogether!
Trips Marketplace
This space will provide opportunities for our members to go fishing with others. Think of it this wayâŠwe plan a trip with multiple guys, send invites, but have âan extra slot open.â Itâs a marketplace to find fishing trips to go on, in the spirit of adventure!
Gear Marketplace
Imagine you upgraded to a bigger boat, or have some old gear that you want to find a loving home for. This would be a place for members to trade gear and or buy your first rig to get on the water with! A place for members to help one another out!
Men's Groups
Being male comes with pressure. And itâs not always easy to navigate it all. We hope to provide Third Spaces for men to gather and seek the help and knowledge of others to get better at being dudes.
